📄Import with a Mnemonic (Recommended)

📄Import with a Private Key
The private key is a 64-character string. Importing with it works, but we strongly prefer the mnemonic: keys are easier to mis-paste and harder to verify. If you must use a key, treat it like a password — offline, one session, then be careful.

📄Importing from Trust Wallet or Hardware Wallets
The good news: most wallets use the standard BIP39 mnemonic format, so phrases move between apps freely.
- Trust Wallet → TronLink — same 12 words, same TRON address. Both apps will show it.
- Ledger/Trezor → TronLink — do not type the seed into TronLink. Instead connect the hardware device (see hardware wallet guide).
- MetaMask phrases — importable if the wallet ever touched TRON; otherwise it restores Ethereum addresses only.
Hardware-wallet rule: never type its seed into a software wallet. The whole point of the hardware device is that its seed never touches a computer. Connect it, do not import it.
